What is the aggregate formula for Computing programs? +

For Computing programs (CS, SE, AI, DS, CYS), the aggregate is calculated as: NU/NAT Test ร— 50% + HSSC ร— 40% + SSC ร— 10%. This same formula applies to Business programs (BBA, BA, AF, FT).

What is the aggregate formula for Engineering programs? +

For Engineering programs (CE, EE, CV), the aggregate is: NU/NAT Test ร— 33% + HSSC ร— 50% + SSC ร— 17%. Engineering has a higher weightage on academic scores.

How is NU Test negative marking calculated? +

For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted. So: Score = Correct ร— 1 โˆ’ Wrong ร— 0.25. Wrong answers = Attempted โˆ’ Correct. Unattempted questions carry no penalty.

Can I use NAT marks instead of NU Test? +

Yes! FAST NUCES accepts both NU Test and NAT marks. Use the NAT Calculator tab if you appeared in NTS NAT exam instead of the NU entrance test. Both are out of 100 for calculation purposes.

Which campus has the lowest closing merit? +

Based on 2024 data, Peshawar (PWR) and Chiniot-Faisalabad (CFD) campuses generally have lower closing merits compared to Islamabad (ISB) and Lahore (LHR), which are the most competitive. Merit varies by program.

Why does my result differ slightly from the official result? +

FAST NUCES uses specific rounding methods in their official calculation. Our calculator may vary by 0.01โ€“0.05 due to decimal rounding differences. For official results, always refer to the FAST NUCES admissions portal.
